Zusammenfassung:SAN JOSE, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--April 25, 2000--Unify Corporation (Nasdaq:UNFY), a leading provider of software solutions for e-commerce, today announced that it has acquired privately held New Atlanta Communications LLC, a premier provider of Java(TM) Servlet and JavaServer Pages(TM) (JSP) technology, for an undisclosed amount of Unify stock. The acquisition allows Unify to leverage New Atlanta's leading server-side Java technology, extending Unify's momentum as a principal provider of open, component-based e-commerce solutions. Prior to this acquisition, Unify and New Atlanta entered into a technology partnership agreement to embed ServletExec into Unify eWave Engine. Unify eWave Engine is a high-performance, scalable application server that supports the Java 2 Platform Enterprise Edition (J2EE) specification, including the Enterprise JavaBeans(TM) (EJB) 1.1 component architecture. With ServletExec as its integrated JSP engine, Unify eWave Engine allows companies to rapidly develop and easily maintain information-rich, dynamic Web sites that integrate existing business systems and are platform independent.
