Shrnutí:The use of printed textbooks as the primary source of learning material makes the learning process less engaging for students, especially in history lessons. The main causes are the large amount of information that must be mastered and the teacher's teaching method, which relies more on lectures. Therefore, the development of comic-based learning media is the solution proposed by Scientists in this study. The goal of this study is create effective and appropriate learning media to support teaching and learning activities and encourage critical thinking skills, especially in social studies lessons. The research and development method used in this study refers to the ASSURE model, which consists of six development stages tailored to needs. The evaluation results from media experts showed a score of 89%, material experts 92%, and language experts 87%. The assessment of the product's appeal by a grade 5 teacher resulted in a score of 100%. The trial subjects for this product were 26 students from grade 5 of SDN Sukorejo 1, located in Sutojayan District, with an average final score of 85%, indicating an increase in students' critical thinking skills. The findings of this study indicate that this learning media is considered feasible and attractive for implementation in the educational process.
