| Summary: | A rollback checking algorithm (RBCA) is proposed in this paper to reduce the potential performance hazards that may occur because of the rollbacks in optimistic parallel discrete event simulation (PDES). This algorithm first transforms PDES programs into a logical process graph, and then explores logic relationships among all logical processes using model checking to analyze the possible number of rollback events. With this algorithm, simulation participators can partition simulation models and select appropriate synchronization algorithms for different models without large number of experiments, which can effectively improve the performance of PDES applications. The experimental results show the effectiveness and practicability of this algorithm. [PUBLICATION ABSTRACT] |
