Shrnutí:Charcot arthropathy is a progressive joint-destructive condition occurring in patients with peripheral neuropathy. Tibiotalocalcaneal (TTC) arthrodesis may be required in severe cases involving the ankle and hindfoot. Although retrograde intramedullary nailing is used widely for TTC fusion, it may be insufficient in cases of severe angular deformity and extensive bone loss. This paper reports a case of TTC arthrodesis using a lateral distal femoral locking plate in a patient with Charcot arthropathy accompanied by significant varus deformity and talar body collapse. Satisfactory correction of the alignment and bony union were achieved. This approach may serve as a viable surgical alternative in cases where intramedullary fixation is limited.
