Installing Python is equally easy on Windows and Linux, but installing the recommended Anaconda distribution on macOS is more involved because it requires one to also install the Xcode development environment. Finally, configuring a Python installation that MATLAB can use seamlessly is harder still. In this chapter, I'll cover installation steps, explain why Python configuration is more problematic than MATLAB, then show how to create an installation that can run the examples in this book. |
