Description
Summary:This research was conducted on companies engaged in manufacturing, especially in the field of machinery, system integration, and application of automation systems. This is in line with the development of the Industrial Revolution 4.0 in the field of manufacturing directed at automation to facilitate work, communication, and monitoring. In this paper, it is explained about the modification of the loading and unloading system mechanism with the piston brake workpiece and the addition of the control system to the Robodrill machine. In this case, it is done by adding the mechanism of Chuter In and Chuter Out, sensors, pneumatic systems, and clamps. Modifications in the programming aspect, in this case on the Fanuc Ladder, using the Fanuc Series PMC (Programmable Machine Controller) on the Robodrill machine by adding the M-Code program, the M Finish program. Tests have been carried out on input components, output components, M-Code, and machine work systems. As for the machine readiness, trial functions, trial reliability, and trial durability have been carried out. Trial Function is to do a trial on each part of the machine added and the parts that already exist before modification. Trial Reliability, namely by carrying out a test check of the results of the workpiece feeding process with as many as 30 pieces without stopping and without any failures in the workpiece feeding results. Trial durability is carried out for 7 hours without eating workpieces, carried out to test the performance of the machine.
