Secrecy Energy Efficiency Optimization for Cooperative Jamming in Cognitive Radio Networks

| Shrnutí: | In this paper, we address the secrecy energy efficiency (SEE) optimization problem in a cognitive radio network (CRN). The SEE is defined as the ratio of the secrecy rate and the total power consumption. In the CRN, a secondary user transmitter (SU-Tx) sends a message to a secondary user receiver (SU-Rx). At the same time, one of the trustworthy SU-Txs acts as a jammer to transmit artificial noise to protect the transmitted message from a potential eavesdropper (Eve). We formulate an optimization problem to maximize the SEE by designing the beamforming vectors of SU-Tx and the jammer. This non-convex problem is first reformulated into a convex problem via the difference of two-convex functions (D.C.) programming. Next, we develop two iterative optimization algorithms by using the Dinkelbach's method. Finally, comprehensive simulation results are presented to evaluate the performance of the proposed SEE maximization scheme. |
