Shrnutí:This paper proposes a new cross-layer joint decoding method for a system equipped a systematic Luby transform (LT) code in the medium access control (MAC) layer and a low-density parity check (LDPC) code in the physical (PHY) layer. The proposed decoding method feeds the accurate soft information from the LT codes in the MAC layer back to the LDPC codes in the PHY layer, enhancing the overall decoding performance, which can be applied to hybrid automatic repeat request (HARQ) scheme for performance improvement. The simulation results reveal that the proposed cross-layer joint decoding method can produce performance enhancement over the conventional decoding method.
