| Zusammenfassung: | Acute kidney injury (AKI) continues to be an epidemic problem among hospitalized patients. Diagnostic stasis has, in part, contributed to the poor outcomes associated with AKI. Incorporation of newer diagnostic methodology, longitudinal assessment of markers of AKI alone and in combination may improve appreciation of patient risk and the speed of recognition, augment the precision of diagnosis, and target management. |
