Shrnutí:In this paper a new Hough transform inversion technique is proposed. It is a window-based inverse Hough transform algorithm, which reconstructs the original image using only the data of the Hough space and the dimensions of the image. In order to minimize memory and computing requirements, the original image is split into windows. Thus, the algorithm can be used to large-size images as a general purpose tool. In this paper, the proposed technique is applied for edge extraction and filtering. The edges are detected not just as continuous straight lines but as they really appear in the original image, i.e. pixel by pixel. Experimental results indicate that the method is robust, accurate and fast.
