Description
Summary:The process of cryptography protects our valuable data such as private account numbers and transaction amounts, electronic signatures replace handwritten signatures or credit card authorizations, and public-key encryption provides confidentiality. In this paper we will focus in enhancing security level of the encryption-decryption process by introducing a novel method, which uses any digital color image to encode-decode secret message, the using of a special key to encrypt-decrypt the encoded-decoded message, the color image will be known only by the transmitter and receiver to keep the process of data treatment confidential, the obtained experimental results by the proposed method will be analyzed to prove the enhancement in process efficiency and confidentiality. INTRODUCTION Digital color image [1-3] is one of most commonly used data types; it is usually represented by a 3D matrix (red, green, and blue colors are assigned to the first, second, and third dimensions correspondingly), each color value is ranges from 0 to 255, the repetition of each color value forms the image histogram [4, 5] as shown in Figures 1 and 2. THE PROBLEM Digital image has a huge size (the dimensions of a digital image are expressed in terms of its pixels, for instance "800 x 600" or "1520x1280" where the first number is the width of the photo and the second number the height of the photo).
