| Shrnutí: | The notions social and cultural competence, background and ethnic-cultural knowledge, intercultural sensibility are analyzed. It is shown that the lack or insufficient formation of social and cultural competence among students-linguists is the reason of mistakes of social and cultural nature and as a consequence the failure in foreign communication. In process of formation of student’s social and cultural competence that refers to correct his communicative behavior, we develop in the student’s minds foreign worldbuilding. It is proved that foreign language learner, when he / she is trying to understand foreign culture, makes in his / her cognitive system secondary cognitive constructions or knowledge which are matched with knowledge about the world by foreign language speaker, representative of other social and cultural community. It is justified that culture signs that show cultural experience of people can be overlapped and possess as asymmetrical phenomenon that is similar in one parts and different in other parts. Conceptual filters and filters of perception define to which triggers we pay attention and how we make selection in these triggers interpretation, when we decode messages. Learner studies language and culture phenomena in real social and cultural contexts in diachronic and synchronic aspects, so he / she analyses cooperation and interinfluence of learning aspects of language and culture which are directed to form social and cultural impartiality, social and cultural politeness and observation that are important to slow down communication failure. It is proved that in process of perfection of social and cultural competence learner makes his / her own style of education (individual methods and ways of understanding of lexical or grammar phenomena, cultural phenomena), masters knowledge that are useful for understanding texts (knowledge from other spheres) or receives structure characteristics of grammar phenomena adequately (grammar rules knowledge). |
