Summary:The purpose of the article is to investigate and review the general concept of the Internet of Things and the use of such technologies in the creation of a Smart Home system. The article analyzes the state of development of Internet of Things technologies inUkraine and the world and the prospects of their application in creating comfortable living conditions for modern people. Research methods are methods of analysis – for research of technologies and means of the Internet of things, its functions, opportunities and advantages of use; comparison methods for researching individual elements of the system, different implementations to select the best and most optimal option; modeling techniques for developing the Smart Home system model. The novelty of the conducted research is the analysis and comparison of existing approaches to the creation of the "Smart Home" system using the Internet of Things technologies, as well as the prospects of using innovative technological systems of different devices’ interaction without human intervention for the development of modern cities and states. Conclusions. The analysis of the existing technologies of the Internet of Things and Smart Home systems proves the need for further in-depth study of developments in this field not only in terms of creating comfortable modern houses and cities, but also to ensure the confidentiality of personal data and the security of each person.
