Shrnutí:SLAng is an XML language for defining service levelagreements, the part of a contract between the client andprovider of an Internet service that describes the quality attributesthat the service is required to possess. We definethe semantics of SLAng precisely by modelling the syntax ofthe language in UML, then relating the language model toa model that describes the structure and behaviour of services. The presence of SLAng elements imposes behaviouralconstraints on service elements, and the precise definitionof these constraints using OCL constitutes the semantic descriptionof the language. We use the semantics to define anotion of SLA compatibility, and an extension to UML thatenables the modelling of service situations as a precursorto analysis, implementation and provisioning activities.
