| Abstract: | AB 471 requires that the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing report to the Governor and the Legislature each year on the number of teachers who received credentials, certificates, permits and waivers. This report provides data collected by the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing and addresses several questions regarding the supply of teachers newly available to teach in California classrooms. This report includes the following: (1) Credentials issued by California Institutions of Higher Education (IHE) and by Segment; (2) Intern Credentials issued by California IHEs and by Segment; (3) District Interns recommended; (4) Credentials obtained by Out-of-state trained teachers; (5) Credentials, Internships, Permits issued by Subjects; and (6) Internships, Permits, Waivers requested by School Districts and Counties. |
