Popis: [Objectives] To analyze the incidence and influencing factors of venous thromboembolism (VTE) in patients undergoing laparoscopic radical resection for colorectal cancer (CRC). [Methods] A total of 140 CRC patients who underwent laparoscopic radical resection at Changshu No.2 People’s Hospital from June 2021 to June 2024 were enrolled. VTE occurrence within 2 weeks postoperatively was recorded. Patients were divided into VTE and non-VTE groups based on VTE status. Caprini score (assessed within 24 hours postoperatively) and clinical parameters were compared between groups. [Results] Among 140 patients, 26 (18.6%) developed VTE, including 25 cases of the deep vein thrombosis of lower extremities and 1 case of pulmonary embolism. The median Caprini score in the VTE group (n=26) was 4 (IQR,3-4), significantly higher than that in the non-VTE group [n=114; median: 2 (IQR, 2-2)] (P0.05). [Conclusion] VTE incidence is notable after laparoscopic radical resection for CRC. Patients with VTE exhibit older age, higher BMI, higher preoperative D-dimer level, higher preoperative plasma viscosity level, longer operative time, and longer postoperative immobilization time compared to non-VTE patients.
