| Popis: | After decades of tensions, sanctions, mistrust and instability, the governments of Iran and of the United States have finally reached an agreement aiming at thawing their relations and putting an end to international suspects about the Iran’s nuclear program. The negotiations, which began formally in November 2013, were concluded within the deadline established by the participating countries (March 31, 2015). The compromise was led by the Iranian representatives as well as by a board of European Union politicians and diplomats and of P5+1 (the five permanent members of the UN Security Council plus Germany). Although the terms of the deal have not been legally fixed, we can expect a progressive lifting of the economic sanctions imposed on Iran since the 1980s and intensified after 2009. Similarly, the Iran’s nuclear program gains international backing, as it becomes subject of the most intrusive and unrestricted surveillance of experts. |
