Description: A feasibility study has been completed on the use of a microprocessor as an aircraft in-flight fatigue monitoring device. Two prototypes have been assembled and successfully laboratory tested. The study has shown great promise in dollar savings by providing local strain data from which aircraft life predictions can be made more accurately.
