| Description: | The paper analyses two most meaningful attempts to overcome mechanistic worldview, which dominated the Modern Era and coincided with the period of formation, development, and decline of the industrial way to reform the material world.The author considers the tasks, conditions, and actual success of classical Marxists in achieving the goals of the formation of a new worldview paradigm, consonant with the tasks and practice of the foundation of a brand-new system of material productive and industrial relations, corresponding to the theoretical ideas of a qualitatively new way of life of a post-capitalist society. The reasons of K. Marx and F. Engels’ failed efforts are analysed.The attempt made by V. I. Vernadsky proved to be more successful. Against the background of the climax of development of the industrial way to reform the world and the formation of productive forces in post-industrial society, which made the changes of the place and role of man in nature and society sensory and visible, he managed to outline the main reasons of fundamental change in the contemporary existence of man and their reflection in the system of people’s changing modern worldview ideas. ; В статье анализируются две наиболее значимые попытки преодоления механистического мировоззрения, господствовавшего в эпоху модерна, совпавшую с периодом становления, развития и заката индустриального способа преобразования материального мира.Рассматриваются задачи, условия и реальные успехи классиков марксизма в реализации целей формирования новой мировоззренческой парадигмы, созвучной задачам и практике становления принципиально новой системы материальных производительных и производственных отношений, соответствующих теоретическим представлениям о качественно новом способе жизнедеятельности посткапиталистического общества; анализируются причины безуспешности усилий К.
