| Description: |
This thesis report outlines the development of a web-based e-commerce platform for a record store, aimed at transitioning from Facebook-based advertisements to a fully operational online store. The primary objective was to create a scalable and user-friendly solution that leverages React for the front-end and Express.js for the back-end. The thesis introduces the problem of limited sales reach due to the manual nature of Facebook advertising. It addresses the need for a dedicated online store to streamline the sales process and enhance customer engagement. A product-based research approach was adopted, focusing on designing and implementing a modern web application. React was used to build a responsive front-end interface, while Express.js handled server-side operations. The store was designed to eventually integrate with various cloud services to ensure scalability and flexibility in hosting. The web application was successfully developed, allowing users to browse and purchase records. The platform significantly improves customer experience with easy navigation, faster performance, and secure transactions. The solution also supports future integration with cloud providers to enhance scalability and reliability. The thesis discusses the benefits of this transition, including improved operational efficiency, wider market reach, and potential for scaling. Additionally, it explores how using modern web technologies positions the store for long-term growth and cloud adoption. The new platform lays a foundation for expanding sales and optimizing customer interactions, replacing the limitations of social media-based advertising. |
