Beschreibung: The final quality and functionality testing was conducted a quad PII-450 Linux machine located in the CIS department. The machine has four processors. Both the sequential and the parallel programs were tested on the machine. The following two testing images were used: • Lena.raw – width = 512, height=512 • Bars.raw – width = 1920, height = 1080 The time command was used to measure total execution time from the start to the end of the program. Each test was repeated three times and the average of the three time values was used in assessment. For the parallel program, testing was conducted for different number of thread in the thread pool, ranging from 1 to 7. Because testing revealed unexpected results, more testing was conducted on the sequential and the parallel program after removing the wavelet transformation process. 2.0 Test Log For all of the following test results, the comparisons of the outputs of the sequential
