| Popis: | The article analyzes the ideas about career and factors of its success, defines career as a multidimensional socio-psychological phenomenon The author notes that the psychological basis for conscious planning of a professional career is the subject's desire for selfactualization and self-realization in professional activities, as well as self-efficacy as a complex of individual psychological characteristics that characterize the sphere of perception of one's own competence, efficiency and personal influence. If we analyze the structure of a professional career, we can find in the three-component structure that self-actualization is embodied in the goal component of a career. The goal component of a career includes goals, projects, orientations, tasks, aspirations, motives, desires, needs, aspirations, values, and meanings. Motivation to perform work will be strongest when a person performs functions and tasks that are consistent with his or her values. If the values are growth and development, then we are dealing with professional selfactualization. The procedural component of a career, which includes methods, strategies, tactics, pace, stages, periods, and phases, is more consistent with self-realization. And the resultant component of a career, which includes achievements, change of roles and positions, professional competence and efficiency, professional and job growth, reflects the process of self-development in a career. The psychological basis for conscious career planning is the subject's desire for selfrealization in professional activities. If we proceed from the fact that people strive to choose a profession that corresponds to their self-concept, so that the profession they choose corresponds to their self-concept, then it is legitimate to say that they strive for professional self-realization. One of the most important aspects of a person's professional development and self-realization is conscious career planning in accordance with one's potential. Selfactualization makes a significant contribution to this kind of planning. |
