Popis: Learning Math in Prison" is an Educational Design Research project that aims to provide practical guidelines for developing structured interventions in mathematics education within Italian prisons and to contribute to the theoretical understanding of this issue. This article presents the results of the initial exploration phase, which outlines partial design requirements and initial design propositions for the specific context. These results are essential for guiding the subsequent phase, in which pilot studies will be conducted to develop design principles and field-test teaching activities.
