| Popis: | Sustainable development is a core objective in today’s society and intellectual property law should equally contribute to this objective. Focussing on environmental sustainability, Jacques de Werra’s edited book Intellectual Property & Sustainable Development offers several perspectives on how IP law, in particular patent and trade mark law, as well as enforcement measures offer tools that promote the transfer of technology, the avoidance of greenwashing and the circularity of products. This review critically engages with the proposals made and adds some further reflections on important limitations that IP laws pose to sustainability. |
