On the coattails of the legacy of authors such as Muzharul Islam the Shah Muhammad Mohshin Khan Mausoleum designed by Sthapotik (Dhaka, Bangladesh) is a work that accords contemporary inspirations and research paths with the material and conceptual constructs proper to the context from which it originates and from which it draws nourishment. By fostering an uninterrupted dialogue between artifact and its surroundings, between tectonic logic and lights - of sun, moon, star, candles -, the small building triggers a harmonious tension between the stability and self-referential integrity of its Form and the fluctuating and infinite unity of natural occurrence.
