Popis: With this proposal we want to approach a very relevant aspect in the lives of many of the women who were part of the palatine servitude: the founding or sponsorship of religious institutions. Our intention, however, is not to specifically describe how these initiatives were developed, but to understand them as part of the set of personal relationships that these ladies developed and that allows us to understand in a much deeper way the various facets that make up their biographies. We have focused on some foundations and sponsorships that were based in the town of Madrid, where the Court began to become sedentary and grow in the number of aristocratic palaces and religious institutions. We also want to highlight those religious personalities who advised and shaped many of these initiatives. For this purpose, some archival resources that testify these actions and female agency have been analyzed, such as wills, private correspondence and founding deeds.
