Popis: This research explores the antibacterial and synergistic effects of Psidium guajava (guava), Piper betle (betel), and Senna alata (acapulco) leaf extracts against environmental bacteria collected from soil, yogurt, and unwashed surfaces. Using the agar disk diffusion method, the extracts were tested at varying concentrations (25%, 50%, 75%, and 100%) to evaluate bacterial inhibition. Guava extract exhibited moderate antibacterial activity, while the 75% combination of all three extracts demonstrated a potential synergistic effect, especially against Gram-negative bacteria. This study was conducted by senior high school STEM students at Marcelo H. Del Pilar National High School, located in Malolos, Bulacan, Philippines.
