Beschreibung: The purpose of this research is to identify the specific features of the representation of the war theme in video poetry. The article analyzes the specificities of the visualization of poems by Yu. Drunina and O. Bergholz about the Great Patriotic War, as well as lyrical works by contemporary authors on the military theme. The scientific novelty of the research lies in revealing the ways of representing the theme of war, which until now has not been the subject of scholarly attention. As a result of the work, it was established that in clips filmed based on poems by classic authors of the 20th century, dramatization of the plot predominates; in modern poems dedicated to the Great Patriotic War and the events of modern years, the theme of war is revealed most often through the combination of two time frames (historical and contemporary) or through the abandonment of visuals, when only the author or actor reading the work is in the frame. In the latter case, the amplification of the pathos of the artistic work occurs due to the increasing role of the spoken word. In addition, video poems realize the principle of dialogism in art through the use of reminiscences and allusions in the poetic text, as well as through the very format of the synthesis of poetry, declamation art, cinematography, photography, and artistic photography.
