Beschreibung: В статье рассматривается лингвокультурологический образ Востока, который создается автором романа с помощью лексических единиц, несущих восточный колорит. Среди них выделяются: во-первых, географические названия — топонимы, которые прямо указывают на место действия романа; во-вторых, этноконфессиональная лексика, характеризующая население восточных стран по признакам национальной и религиозной принадлежности; в-третьих, многочисленные заимствования из восточных языков, прежде всего из арабского языка. Топонимика романа дополняется характеристикой населения, проживающего на территории восточных стран: Турции, Сирии и других. The article examines the linguocultural image of the East created by the author of the novel through the intermediary of lexical units that carry an oriental flavor. Among them there are the following standing out: first, geographical names — toponyms that directly indicate the setting; secondly, ethno-confessional vocabulary that describes the population of eastern countries on the basis of national and religious affiliation; thirdly, numerous borrowings from oriental languages, primarily from the Arabic. The toponymy of the novel is supplemented with the features of the population living in the eastern countries: Turkey, Syria and others described.

Abstract:В статье рассматривается лингвокультурологический образ Востока, который создается автором романа с помощью лексических единиц, несущих восточный колорит. Среди них выделяются: во-первых, географические названия — топонимы, которые прямо указывают на место действия романа; во-вторых, этноконфессиональная лексика, характеризующая население восточных стран по признакам национальной и религиозной принадлежности; в-третьих, многочисленные заимствования из восточных языков, прежде всего из арабского языка. Топонимика романа дополняется характеристикой населения, проживающего на территории восточных стран: Турции, Сирии и других.
