Beschreibung: The article is devoted to the foreign language (FL) training in the Russian and Chinese systems of the vocational education. The introduction includes the relevance and the aim of the study. Preparing the specialists ready for the professional FL communication is the main task of the modern FL teaching. Choosing the educational way depends on the national traditions and the ultimate teaching goals. According to the educational standards, studying a FL in Russia is compulsory both at schools, colleges and universities. Among others, English is the most popular FL. Regarding Russian as a FL, its popularity is connected with the long-term diplomatic Russian-Chinese relations. The authors believe that teaching Russian as a FL is a very time-consuming process, that is why this issue is paid a special attention in the article. Based on the results in the pedagogical practice, the authors come to the conclusion that the forms and methods of teaching English in Russia and Russian in China depend on the certain conditions and the teaching model. In conclusion, the authors systematize the identified peculiarities and differences between the FL teaching mechanisms in China and Russia. The conducted analysis allows to say that the methodology of FL training in professional educational institutions of the secondary and higher vocational education depends not only on the system-forming factors, but also on the personal and professional qualities of the teacher.
