Description: This study examined principals’ financial management practices and secondary school goals attainment in the Calabar Education Zone of Cross River State, Nigeria, with a population of 95 public secondary schools across the study area. The study adopted a census approach because all the secondary schools in the study area were involved in the study. “Principals’ Financial Management Practices and Secondary School Goals Attainment Questionnaire (PFMPSSGAQ)” was the name of the instrument used for data collection. Using the Cronbach Alpha method, the reliability index was 0.88 and this was regarded as high enough to justify the use of the instrument for data collection. Data gathered were coded and analysed using Pearson Product moment correlation analysis. The result of the analysis indicated that principals’ financial practices in terms of principals’ fundraising practices and principals’ financial allocation practices significantly related to secondary school goals attainment in the Calabar Education Zone of Cross River State, Nigeria. From the results of the analysis, one of the recommendations was that, secondary school principals, with approval of the state government, should ensure that, they promote, sustain and make financial raising practices part of their management practices in their respective schools just to augment the limited financial allocation by the government
