Abstrakt: This document is a collection of abstracts and panel discussions on various topics related to maternal and newborn health. The abstracts cover a range of subjects, including the use of Networks of Care to improve quality of care, addressing racial disparities in maternal health, the role of midwives in reducing mortality, and the implementation of Continuous Positive Airway Pressure devices for newborns with respiratory distress. The panels discuss topics such as maternal and perinatal death surveillance, the importance of empathy and compassion in care, and the measurement and monitoring of maternal and newborn health outcomes. The studies emphasize the importance of addressing gender roles and norms, improving access to healthcare services, and addressing systemic barriers to improve maternal and child health outcomes.
