| Abstract: |
Specific periodontal pathogens (Porphyromonas gingivalis, Tanerella forsythia, Fusobacterium nucleatum) provide not only direct destruction of the periodontium, but also an indirect effect on the body as a whole through pro-inflammatory stimulation of the immune system. It is believed that periodontal pathogens can have family clustering (horizontal translocation between spouses. The purpose of the work is to determine the possible coincidence of the qualitative and quantitative level of the main periodontal pathogens as a result of horizontal translocation in family couples of patients with MASLD. Materials and methods. 44 family couples were studied, where one of the spouses had a verified diagnosis of MASLD, and the other did not have metabolic diseases. A double clinical dental examination was conducted, qualitative and quantitative levels of periodontal pathogens. In addition to drug and nondrug therapy for MASLD, patients were treated for diseases periodontitis. Results. It has been proven that spouses in most cases have similar food preferences and coincide in habits regarding hygienic care of the oral cavity. Against the background of MASLD and in combination with the negative impact of certain habits, favorable conditions are formed, at first, for the infectivity of F. nucleatum, and later - for T. forsythia/ P. gingivalis. Conclusions. As a result of comprehensive treatment of a patient with MASLD and correction of habits in a positive direction, the risk of horizontal translocation of virulent periodontal pathogens to a healthy spouse decrease.
