Abstrakt: The article presents a framework for analyzing historical trends in the decentralization of the crypto ecosystem, with a particular focus on five blockchain subsystems. It discusses the use of Shannon entropy as a metric and introduces the Crypto Decentralization Dashboard. It also covers centralized exchanges, decentralized finance (DeFi) protocols and governance mechanisms, and non-fungible token (NFT) marketplaces.
