In this study, a new, thin, noiseless, highly sensitive, multilayer 1-D photonic crystal biosensor structure is designed for the real time detection of viruses in human blood sample. As low and high index sensor materials, perfect combination of SiO2 and ZnTe layers are selected and Transfer Matrix Method (TMM) is used for the analysis. Blood sample taken from the infected patient is inserted as defect layer at the middle part of the multilayer sensor structure. The presence of the virus in hemoglobin, plasma and platelets cases are separately studied. Designed biosensor has thinner structure and provides high sensitivity and noiseless operation in wide frequency range with respect to previous sensor designs in literature. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR] |
