Abstract: In aerodynamic applications, wind tunnels consider the main part in design process for many researches for studying air flow influence on the rigid structure. In order to make accurate decision in wind tunnel design and test, its sufficient depending on Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) though the technique advantages. After calculating the dimensions, design and build the wind tunnel to facilitate a test of the deceived structure in the vertical axis. The subsonic wind tunnel was built with open circuit specifications, and the reason for choosing this type is due to the ease of manufacturing and implementation, in addition to the low construction costs. Wind speed through the tunnel was controlled by a variable speed using four Fans, drive unit with regulator speed control unit. All fans have the same specification and each fan has7 blades with airflow of 2100 m3/ℎ. The results of experimental work have compared with simulation results using ANSYS program. The results showed that the velocity in experimental work was closed to simulation velocity. wherethe error was 2 %. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
