| Abstract: |
This article presents an innovative approach to build a parallel computing micro-cluster for educational and research purposes at New Bulgarian University by using second-hand server systems. The project demonstrates how refurbished hardware can provide significant computational power for physics simulations and scientific research at a fraction of the cost of new equipment. The article details the selection, upgrading, and integration of used computers, and discusses the benefits, challenges, and educational value of this sustainable solution. The micro-cluster supports advanced research and hands-on learning, promoting both technological innovation and resource efficiency in a university setting. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR] |
