Abstract (English): There is an increasing interest into Karl Polanyi's framework and method of analysis in under-standing today's problems of neoliberalism as well as in thinking about their solution. Polanyi's once marginal influence began to permeate the collective consciousness of the social sciences. This paper looks at frameworks used for description, analysis, and prediction in the three areas of economic growth, equality, and development, while also highlighting some important past and current trends. The algorithmic revolution and cloud computing are the foundations of the platform economy. While platforms offer many benefits, they also raise concerns about market concentration, data privacy, labor rights, and competition. In the not-so-distant future supposedly smart technological systems may be deployed to maximize human productivity throughout our lives. Powerful investors have pursued and will continue to pursue their utopian vision of a world governed by smart-tech systems. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
Abstract (Polish): Coraz większe zainteresowanie budzą ramy i metoda analizy Karla Polanyiego w rozumieniu dzisiejszych problemów neoliberalizmu, a także w myśleniu o ich rozwiązaniu. Niegdyś marginalny wpływ Polanyi'ego zaczął przenikać do zbiorowej świadomości nauk społecznych. W artykule omówiono ramy stosowane do opisu, analizy i prognozowania w trzech obszarach wzrostu gospodarczego, równości i rozwoju, podkreślając jednocześnie pewne ważne, przeszłe i obecne trendy. Rewolucja algorytmiczna i przetwarzanie w chmurze są fundamentami gospodarki platformowej. Podczas gdy platformy oferują wiele korzyści, budzą również obawy dotyczące koncentracji rynku, prywatności danych, praw pracowniczych i konkurencji. W niedalekiej przyszłości rzekomo inteligentne systemy technologiczne mogą zostać wdrożone w celu maksymalizacji ludzkiej produktywności w ciągu całego naszego życia. Potężni inwestorzy realizowali i będą realizować swoją utopijną wizję świata rządzonego przez systemy smart-tech. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
