Abstrakt: Insomnia is a common problem when trying to sleep. The most common treatments for insomnia are sedative hypnotic drugs and non-drug therapies. The drugs that are most commonly used on the market are benzodiazepines and non-benzodiazepines. The use of insomnia drugs is limited due to side effects such as drug dependence, memory or movement disorders, and residual effects. The rodent model of insomnia, the diagnosis, monitoring, and treatment of insomnia, and some natural products for insomnia are discussed in this review, which provides reference for clinical application and research.
