Abstract (English): Regardless of the area, compressed files have long been used in everyday work. The original idea of using compressed files was to reduce their size, in order to save on storage space and reduce the bandwidth load on communication channels. With the development of technology, storage space and bandwidth of communication channels have in practice led to the fact that there is no longer a daily need to use compressed files for the original purpose, but they are still intensively used as a convenient way of storing a large number of files in a single file, which is practical when sending via computer networks and making backups. Users often choose to protect compressed files with a password, which they also often forget and thus get into an uncomfortable situation. The paper presents a software solution made in the Python programming language, which can be used to brute force crack passwords or to try to crack passwords using a dictionary, until the correct password is found. Once the password has been cracked, the software solution can extract the contents of the compressed file and make it available to the user. Such a solution can be a powerful tool for recovering lost or forgotten passwords, however, it is important to use it responsibly and only for legitimate purposes, since unauthorized access to protected files is illegal and unethical. Abstract (Bosnian): Neovisno o području, komprimirane datoteke se dugo koriste u svakodnevnom radu.
