Of the 2645 cases of PCA, lichen amyloidosis (LA) was reported in 1503 (57%), macular amyloidosis (MA) in 727 (28%), and biphasic amyloidosis (BA) in 415 (15%). In Southeast Asia and South China, LA was the dominant presentation (Southeast Asia LA 77% vs MA 12%; South China LA 69% vs MA 10%) whilst in South Asia and South America MA predominated.
