Abstract (English): The urban growth and development strategies of the cities are defined in their urban planning. Since its inception, one of the main objectives of the municipal GIS of Cáceres was to make urban planning more accessible to all users. In 2016, a complicated transformation of the current Municipal General Plan, approved in March 2010 on paper, was carried out for its publication in the local SDI. The necessary mechanisms were defined to ensure that its GIS version and the original paper version were the same, and to manage future modifications, ensuring the consistency at any moment of the WMS services offered. The result can be seen on two viewers, one for mobile phones and the other one available in the official app of the City Council, called «Cáceres View». Due to this work, technicians and professionals can consult the urban plans and obtain urban planning files directly on their mobile devices in real time, without the need to carry out the consultation in person at the municipal offices. Likewise, in the last three years, and thanks to the coordinated work of the Urban Planning and Planning services, all urban planning documentation has been rescued and inventoried since 1961, for its digitization, georeferencing and publication in the local SDI. This is what we call the "Archeology of Urban Planning of Cáceres", which allows the geographical and urban situation of a specific parcel of the municipality to be analyzed at any time. Abstract (Spanish): Las estrategias de crecimiento y desarrollo urbano de las ciudades vienen definidas en su planeamiento urbanístico. Desde su inicio, uno de los principales objetivos del SIG municipal de Cáceres fue hacer más accesible el planeamiento a todos. En 2016 se llevó a cabo un complicado trabajo de transformación del Plan General Municipal vigente, aprobado en marzo de 2010 en papel, para su publicación en la IDE local. Se definieron los mecanismos necesarios para garantizar que su versión SIG y la original en papel fueran iguales, y para gestionar las futuras modificaciones asegurando la consistencia en todo momento de los servicios WMS ofrecidos. El resultado se puede ver sobre dos visualizadores, uno para móviles y otro disponible en la app oficial del Ayuntamiento, denominada «Cáceres View». Gracias a ese trabajo, los técnicos y profesionales pueden consultar los planos y obtener fichas urbanísticas directamente en sus dispositivos móviles y en tiempo real, sin necesidad de realizar la consulta en persona en las dependencias municipales. Igualmente, en los tres últimos años, y gracias al trabajo coordinado de los servicios de Urbanismo y Planeamiento, se ha rescatado e inventariado toda la documentación urbanística desde el año 1961, para su digitalización, georreferenciación y publicación en la IDE local. Es lo que llamamos la «Arqueología del Planeamiento Urbano de Cáceres», que permite analizar en cada momento la situación geográfica y urbanística de una parcela concreta del municipio.
