Abstrakt: The RSA cryptosystem provides asymmetric encryption to keep data between parties with no previous relationship secure. The modular arithmetic used in the enciphering and deciphering of the message is simple in theory but can cause catastrophic problems if implemented in an application written in many popular programming languages. The author describes the mathematics behind the RSA cryptosystem and a coding technique that can be used to decrease the chance of the calculation resulting in an abnormal end. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
