Gamifying learning environments, combining classroom with gamified e-Learning platform, is one of the educational proposals that increases motivation and commitment of the students in the learning process. This research analyzes, quantitatively and qualitatively, the use of Gamified Moodle as a tool to improve the above mentioned parameters by the completion of autonomous tasks, in a Java Programming Fundamentals course at the Central University of Ecuador. Gamificar el ambiente de aprendizaje, combinando clases presenciales con una plataforma e-Learning gamificada, es una de las propuestas educativas que incrementa la motivación y compromiso de los estudiantes en el proceso de aprendizaje. La presente investigación analizó, cuantitativa y cualitativamente, el uso de Moodle Gamificado, como una herramienta para mejorar los parámetros mencionados en la realización de tareas autónomas, en un curso presencial de Fundamentos de Programación Java, en la Universidad Central del Ecuador.
