Abstract (English): The study deals with the history of establishing and forming one of the most outstanding collection kept at the Department of Music History of the National Museum - Czech Museum of Music in Prague. It is the collection of printed documentation, currently comprising over 70.000 items (theatre posters, musical posters, theatre and opera programs of various origins, concert programs and booklets, newspaper cuttings etc.). These materials cover the period from the second half of the 18th century to the present. The focus is especially on sources related to the history of musical life in Prague in the 19th century and also on the most outstanding sources related to historically earlier periods in Czech music culture. Precious material from the confiscated possessions of aristocracy are mentioned (printed theatre posters and original handwritten programs for productions organized by the noble Chotek family in their castle theatre in Kačina between 1821-1862), as well as interesting printed music posters from the restored fund of the Strahov Library of the Royal Canonry of Premonstratensians at Strahov (musical posters for the performance of Mr. and Mrs. Mašek, Niccolo Paganini, Franz Liszt, Hector Berlioz etc.) The article further presents a survey of important musical institutions in Prague at the second half of the 19th century. Abstract (Czech): Záměrem tohoto příspěvku, orientovaného spíše na heuristiku pramenů než na jejich hudebněhistorické vyhodnocování, je nastínit historii vzniku a průběh formování jednoho významného sbírkového fondu hudebněhistorického oddělení Národního muzea - Českého muzea hudby v Praze (dále jen NM-ČMH), představujícího v rámci uspořádání a vnitřního členění oddělení pátý sbírkový úsek tzv. hudebního archivu.1 Důraz je kladen především na charakteristiku pramenů k dějinám pražského hudebního života v 19. století a také na některé nejvýznamnější prameny, vztahující se k historicky starším obdobím české hudební kultury.
