Abstract: The article discusses the results of a study which examined acute care nurses' experience of menopause and perimenopause in relation to their caregiving abilities. Topics covered include the physical symptoms of menopause experienced by the nurses, how nurses use various strategies to compensate for their fatigue to avoid error and how workplace adaptations would be a benefit when navigating menopausal symptoms and improve their patients' care experiences.
