Abstract: The article author presents his views on the incorporation of computer program language Java in mobile devices. Java has become very popular in mobile and consumer devices. This year, analysts believe 150 million Java-enabled mobile phones will be sold. However, the use of Java in embedded systems has reached a crossroads in the face of increasingly complex applications, so one can speculate as to what is its next logical step. One option is software runtime compilers. It puts greater strain on the system's memory requirements and bandwidth. Hardware acceleration of Java, as part of the core architecture requires no additional system memory, saving cost and power.
