The article focuses on the Android cellular phone software developed by Google Inc. It states that Android platform uses Java and its application frameworks are Java-based, which offers the possibility of porting field-tested Java Micro Edition (ME) applications to the platform. It explains Android's application lifecyle, also known as "Activity," as well as the comparison of the lifecycle of Java ME Mobile Information Device Profile (MIDP) and Android. Information derived from the testing of Android software is also presented. |
