| Abstract: | This study examines the political, economic, and strategic impact of President Donald Trump’s May 2017 visit to Saudi Arabia, assessing its implications for U.S.–Arab relations within the shifting geopolitical landscape of the Middle East. Employing a qualitative research methodology, the analysis draws on historical research, document review, and discourse analysis of primary sources (official statements, policy documents, economic agreements) and secondary sources (academic literature, policy analyses, media coverage). Drawing on neorealist, liberal interdependence, and constructivist approaches, the study integrates primary U.S., Saudi, and Israeli sources to explain how transactional diplomacy reshaped regional alignments and U.S. soft power legitimacy. Findings indicate that the visit served as a turning point in U.S.–Saudi relations, reaffirming security guarantees, initiating over $100 billion in arms and investment agreements aligned with Saudi Vision 2030, and fostering a regional coalition to counter Iranian influence. The study explains the effects of Trump’s 2017 visit across key political, economic, and strategic dimensions, examining how the trip influenced diplomatic alignments, economic cooperation, and regional security dynamics.
