This study examines the practicality of friction welding with a material that poses challenges for standard welding techniques due to its high conductivity. Although the low coefficient of friction inherent in this material presents difficulties, we investigate the possibility of achieving effective welding by meticulously managing various parameters. The research aims to determine optimal settings for friction welding, including important factors like forging pressure, duration of friction, and quenching medium, to attain specific hardness levels and tensile strength. To identify the most advantageous process configurations, statistical analyses are conducted using Minitab software alongside Taguchi methods. The results from this investigation enhance our comprehension of how friction welding can be applied to join materials possessing distinctive characteristics, thereby potentially broadening its application across different industrial sectors.
